Located less than three hours from Melbourne and one hour from Echuca Moama, Cactus Country transports visitors from the Victorian Murray bushland to the Mexican Mojave, African Sahara and the Argentinian Patagonia.

Follow one of the eight sandy trails through our 12 acre desert oasis as you cruise past thousands of cacti and succulents, and ‘spike a pose’ for the most Insta-worthy photos with the weird, wonderful and wacky plants that call Cactus Country home.

With a margarita or Mexican beer in hand (or a homemade cactus ice cream for the kids!) let your imagination run wild as you explore the garden at your own pace. Take in the views from the elevated lookout dome and see how many of the 1000+ plant varieties you can spot, from the smallest of succulents to the ‘el capitans’ of the cacti in the Valley of the Giants.

Acknowledgement of Country

Let’s Go Victoria acknowledges the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present. We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
