    Why you’ll love it

Tewksbury Lodge is a Canadian style Log Cabin, offering a unique accommodation alternative for visitors to Bright and the Victorian High Country.

The Lodge is just 5 min’s drive from Bright, nestled by the pristine waters of the Ovens River, with great views of Mount Buffalo, in Porepunkah.

You’ll love the Lodge experience, staying in an authentic, hand-crafted log cabin.  The tranquil setting, the ambience of the Log Cabin, the Spa, Log fire, comfy beds and leather recliners offer an accommodation experience difficult to find elsewhere in Australia.

The Lodge is fully self-contained and comfortably sleeps up to four people in 2 bedrooms, so it’s good for 1 or 2 couples, or families with kids.

The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail runs right by Tewksbury Lodge and we have a couple of bikes available to guests for free. Cycle to Bright or to wineries such as Ringer Reef and Boynton's Feathertop.

It's ideal for a quiet getaway, a romantic weekend, anniversary, wedding accommodation, weekend retreat or other special occasion.

You can find your inner Daniel Boone here, from fishing for trout to swimming in rivers. Boone might have roughed it, but this is a 4.5-star getaway that is also geared for cycling, wineries, foodie delights, winter snow play or lazy summer nights on the private verandah with the barbecue.

Operated by resident owners Claudia and Paul, it's uniqueness and business practice saw it nominated as a Victorian Tourism Awards finalist on several occasions. It has also won the Alpine Business and Tourism Awards 'Hosted Accommodation' category.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
