    The event vibe

Get ready for a spectacular New Year's Eve at the Wangaratta Showgrounds.

The 15-piece Melbourne Ska Orchestra live performance, led by the charismatic Nicky Bomba, is explosive and infectious. With horn players, a fierce rhythm section and powerhouse vocals, this ensemble guarantees a lively and memorable performance to bring in the new year.

Local talent RIFF, a rising performer, songwriter and composer, will showcase an eclectic mix of rock, pop, country and funk.

From a sheep farm in western NSW to the stages of Glastonbury UK, Fanny Lumsden now brings her joyous and award-winning energy to Wangaratta.

The Indigenous Outreach Projects is a national collective known for its engaging performances that blend music and dance to connect with youth and celebrate cultural diversity.

Beyond the music, the event will offer a range of activities to keep the whole family entertained. Enjoy a range of free activities, including rock climbing, an obstacle course, inflatables, face painting, hair braiding (paid activity), and more.

Celebrate the New Year with not one, but two spectacular fireworks shows. The first round will light up the sky at 9:00 PM, followed by the grand finale at midnight to welcome 2026 in style.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
