Each year on the third Sunday of March, riders across every state and territory in Australia take part in the '1 Dayer' - a national event dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. By 2018, more than 6,500 people from 40 regions were involved in this important initiative, helping to make sure these topics are spoken about in communities nationwide.
Locally, the ride sets off from the Lake Hamilton Boat Ramp Carpark and taking a scenic route. The Black Dog Ride's annual 1 Dayer is all about bringing people together to start vital conversations around depression and suicide prevention.
Join your local Black Dog Ride 1 Dayer and help keep the conversation going.
