    The event vibe

The Fish Creek Tea Cosy Festival is held every two years. The festival celebrates everything tea cosy through creativity, resourcefulness and hospitality of the local community. It's the biggest tea cosy festival in the world.

Held over nine days, the feature event of the festival is the tea cosy competition. Over 200 entries are on exhibition and include traditional, wild and whimsical tea cosies that have been crafted using the imagination and ingenuity of the craftspeople from around the world. Over 7000 people attend the festival over the nine day period, visiting from all over Australia and abroad.

In addition to the tea cosy exhibition, there are craft workshops and talks, artistic performances, gallery exhibitions, high tea, Devonshire teas, and the ever-popular Bendigo Bank Market Day. There's lots for visitors to see and do during their time at the Fish Creek Tea Cosy Festival.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
