    The event vibe

A special exhibition celebrating Shane Warne, and the moments that saw him crowned the King of Spin, is set to open at the Australian Sports Museum at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Highlights of the display include the famous Gatting Ball, his 1999 Cricket World Cup winners medal, worn Test match shirts and boots, and his iconic floppy white hat.

Get up close with the ball Warne bowled to achieve his 700th Test wicket in 2006, and reminisce, or simply imagine, how it felt to be part of the standing ovation in his home crowd at the 'G.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
