    The event vibe

The Australian Sand Sculpting Championships presents a magical world of fantasy, wonder and imagination - crafted entirely from sand.

These April school holidays, be amazed as Australia's leading sand sculptors go head-to-head with incredible international artists, transforming over 400 tonnes of sand into breathtaking fairy-tale castles, enchanting fairies, mighty dragons and mythical creatures.

Beyond the spectacular sculptures, families can enjoy a full program of interactive fun, including an immersive light show, sand art and sand bottle activities, mini golf, a giant sand pit, interactive photo moments, sculptor talks, hands-on sculpting workshops and the chance to vote for their favourite creation.

A must-visit experience for families these school holidays.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
