    Why you’ll love it

Sleep beneath the stars and treetops at Kingfisher Retreat - Tiny House. Wake to birdsong, unwind to the sound of frogs, and enjoy a calm, private setting ideal for couples, friends, solo travellers or families.

Set on half an acre at the foothills of the Warby Ovens National Park, this cosy retreat is perfectly positioned as a gateway to the Victorian High Country and alpine regions. The tiny house features a spacious double loft with two sleeping areas, comfortably accommodating up to four guests with a queen bed at one end and two large single beds at the other. Steep 'scandi' stairs connect to the double loft.

Inside, you will find modern conveniences including a well-equipped kitchen with air fryer, microwave and dishwasher, plus an outdoor barbecue for relaxed meals. A smart television, comfortable lounge, spacious bathroom and front-loader washing machine add to the ease of your stay. Large windows frame views of the native garden, bringing the outdoors in.

Conveniently located just three kilometres from the Hume Highway, Kingfisher Retreat is a 2.5-hour drive from Melbourne and an ideal stopover between Sydney and Melbourne, or Canberra and the Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal near Geelong.

Highlights include proximity to Wangaratta, local wineries, cafes, pubs, and rich Ned Kelly history, all within easy reach.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
