    Fresh Air Vibes

Choose from two different routes up to The Pinnacle lookout – an easy to medium walk from Sundial Carpark and a more challenging climb from Wonderland Carpark.

    The Pinnacle from Sundial Carpark
The easiest route to The Pinnacle, the walk from Sundial carpark via Devil's Gap is suitable for less confident walkers or those with children. Keep an eye out for native wildlife along the way, including koalas, kangaroos and even echidnas. Wear sturdy walking shoes as you may have to hop over seasonal water crossings and a few rocks. The Pinnacle lookout offers breathtaking views of Halls Gap and the Grampians' many peaks.

    Location: Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park
    Distance: 4.2km
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes return
    Track condition: Good
    Grade: Medium
    Start: Sundial Carpark
    Finish: The Pinnacle
    Nearby: Halls Gap
    Permits/bookings: None required
Safety: Wear sturdy shoes. Check for bushfire warnings before you leave.

    The Pinnacle from Halls Gap
Keen hikers will welcome the more challenging walk from the base of the mountain to The Pinnacle. Marvel at the seemingly precariously perched boulders as you climb towards the Grand Canyon, a smaller cousin of the American canyon. Listen to the peaceful trickle of Bridal Veil Falls (best after rainfall) and continue on through Silent Street before you reach The Pinnacle Lookout and admire the vast views of the Grampians. Visit the Parks Vic website for more info.

    Distance: 9.6km
    Duration: Allow 5 hours return
    Track: Steep, rocky areas
    Grade: Medium/Hard
    Start: Wonderland Carpark
    Finish: The Pinnacle
    Nearby: Halls Gap
    Permits/bookings: None required
Safety: Follow markings along the track and take care on rocky areas that can be slippery when wet. Wonderland Walking Brochures are available from Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre Halls Gap, or from a local Grampians Visitor Information Centre.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
