    Fresh Air Vibes

Be awed by Victoria's largest coastal wilderness area in Wilsons Promontory National Park. Affectionately known as 'The Prom', it is one of the state's best loved parks – and with good reason. This 50,000 hectare reserve is threaded with a labyrinth of walking tracks that showcase all manner of magical realms sheltering abundant wildlife.

    Camping

Stay under canvas or in contemporary cabins. Either way, you'll be surrounded by a visual feast of tranquil rivers, intimate coves, granite mountaintops and lush, forested valleys. Discover secluded beaches, cool fern gullies and spectacular rock formations.

    Cruising

Take a journey on the world's first amphibious boat, across sand and sea. Cruise alongside dolphins, in the waters of Victoria's first national marine park. Get up close to seal colonies, observe unique birdlife and marvel at the iconic, granite monolith of Skull Rock.

    Wildlife and wildflowers

Wilsons Promontory is a refuge for an array of native wildlife including kangaroos, emus, wombats, echidnas and vividly plumed birds like rosellas. Visit in spring to experience spectacular displays of wildflowers including orchids, wattle, heathland and other species.

    Scenic trails

The drive from the entrance at Yanakie to Tidal River settlement is scenic and is well-signposted, with car parks, beaches and bushland accessible via side roads. However, the best way to enjoy the spectacular scenery is on one of the many walking trails throughout the peninsula.

    Accessibility

Wilsons Prom has a range of accessible beaches, accommodation options, free accessible equipment hire and facilities within the park. Accessible toilets can be found throughout Tidal River.

All-terrain wheelchairs, a TrailRider and beach wheelchairs are available for park visitors with significant physical disabilities to explore the great outdoors. A range of accessibility equipment is also available for the park accommodation at Tidal River to make your stay more comfortable.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
