    Why you’ll love it

Frog Gully Cottages can be found at Longford in Victoria, Australia, next to the Sale Golf Course.

We are 2 ½ hours from Melbourne, and less than 10 minutes from the large country town of Sale. The property is a working farm, running sheep and cattle.

There are two self-contained cottages designed to provide quality accommodation while taking full advantage of an elevated position over a superb wetland view. The cottages face north so provide a perfect view of sunsets and sunrises, and the mists that swathe the wetlands in autumn and winter.

There is abundant wildlife with many species of birds to be seen in the wetlands – it is a birdwatching paradise. The healthy population of frogs provides a symphony of sound through late winter, spring and early summer. There are also great walking tracks around the nearby wetlands, and the area is also good for cycling, with the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail nearby.

If you are looking for something a bit different for your accommodation when visiting Sale, and you like peace and serenity with a beautiful view, this is the perfect place for you! We have only one complaint from our guests – we wish we were staying more than one night!

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
