Venue Overview
Castlemaine's Theatre Royal is well worth a visit. The oldest continuously operating theatre in Victoria, this much-loved venue has hosted international talent including Cat Power and Gillian Welch, and it was here that Lola Montez performed her daring spider dance to a boisterous crowd of miners.
