    Local Vibes

Situated at the edge of the Strzelecki Ranges and on the doorstep of South Gippsland's major tourist attractions, Korumburra is located on the lands of Bunurong People. It is also a fertile agricultural hub known for its dairy industry.

    Gourmet goodies

See how cheese makes its way from paddock to plate at the Prom Country Cheese farm. Tour the Moyarra Valley sheep farm and cellar door and see how the cheeses are later prepared in the country kitchen.

On your way to Korumburra, visit the Loch Brewery and Distillery to sample their craft beers, single malt whisky and gin – all proudly made in house.

Continue your foodie with a detour off the South Gippsland Highway. Pull up at Djinta Djinta Winery and de Vine Restaurant for a wine tasting or lazy lunch with views of the estate.

    Historical sights

Korumburra was once famous for its coal mining boom. Learn about life in the 1800s at the Coal Creek Community Park and Museum, a free family-friendly attraction. Admire the natural surrounds on foot or climb aboard the bush tramway. For a spookier experience and chance to see the nocturnal inhabitants, visit Coal Creek after dark on the monthly Ghost Tours.

    Ocean bound

Challenge yourself to a Hills To The Sea bike ride, and cruise through Gippsland's diverse natural landscapes. Start off surrounded by lush hills at Warragul and finish up at Inverloch with panoramic views of Bass Strait.

    Stay awhile

Stay for a few nights and make some time to discover the best of South Gippsland's attractions. Experience true country hospitality at Korumburra's bed and breakfasts and then take the short drive to the beautiful beaches of Inverloch.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
