    The Tasty Scoop

A pint-sized bistro only a stone’s throw from the beautiful Cowes foreshore on Victoria’s Phillip Island, Anerie has quickly become an institution since opening its doors in 2021.

Its high quality traditional cuisine and its warm and friendly service make it one of the essential eateries on the island. 12 Thompson Ave has been the site of many businesses over the last 100 years, its first incarnation was West’s General Store in the early 1900’s.

Today it pays homage to its inspiration, all those beautiful little bistros and brasseries across France and mainland Europe, with hand decoupaged tables, velvet chairs, silverware, vintage napery and the owners personal collection of art and collectibles which give the restaurant a welcoming and warm atmosphere, you will be whisked away to a far away place, if only for a few short hours. The friendly welcome, authentic setting, eclectic crockery and the beautiful decor make it a place of choice for a romantic evening or a relaxed dinner with friends.
In summer, it is possible to sit on the terrace at Anerie to enjoy the good weather while enjoying a beautiful meal and a gorgeous glass or two of wine.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
