Angus Montaigne

Kick off the long weekend as we welcome Angus Montaigne to our Front Bar stage.

Hailing from the blustery northern winds of Scotland, Angus has been performing live for eighteen years - with the last ten spent largely in the Victorian high country. He largely performs in a gentle Folk-Americana style, but has a healthy habit of ramping up the noise and energy of a room as the night draws in.

Expect shades of Springsteen, Paul Kelly, The Beatles and a variety of other classic sounds over the course of an evening of covers (with originals thrown in from time to time) from what might be considered the golden years; with his own songwriting taking influence from the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Bright Eyes and Jason Isbell
