    Fresh Air Vibes

The only northern facing beaches in Victoria, the Cowes Main Beaches are ideal for swimming and summer fun.

These golden, sheltered, sandy beaches in Cowes are located in Westernport Bay with low winds and gentle waves, making them a popular choice for families. The beaches at high tide offer excellent swimming, and have an abundance of shallow rocks and tidal flats to explore at low tide. The jetty is perfect for fishing and is the departure point for several ferries. You'll also find the Cowes Yacht Club west of Mussel Rocks.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
