    Why you’ll love it

Welcome to Deep Creek Bright. Modern off-grid farmstay in the rolling foothills of Victoria’s High Country.

Named after their miniature donkeys Saddler and Rosie, they present to you Saddlers Stay and Rosie’s Rest. Saddler’s Stay has two bedrooms, sleeping six people and Rosie’s Rest has a master bedroom and separate custom built in bunkbeds, sleeping four people. Both have a well-appointed kitchen, lounge, and single bathroom.

Sit out on the deck and savour the breathtaking views of Mt Buffalo, Mt Feathertop and Mt Hotham, or cosy up on the lounge in front of the wood fire and enjoy the picture-framed views through the expansive windows.

Deep Creek is the perfect base for exploring the nearby towns of Bright, Porepunkah and Harrietville or heading up to the alpine peaks of Mt Hotham, Falls Creek or Mt Buffalo. If downtime is what you are after, simply soak up the tranquillity of the farm, read a book, enjoy a glass of local wine or watch the cattle, sheep, chickens and miniature donkeys. The donkeys and sheep love a visit from our guests, especially with offerings of a carrot or two and they are naturally photogenic.

Deep Creek is three and a half hour drive from Melbourne, minutes from the beautiful township of Bright and a short drive to the snowfields of Mt Hotham, Falls Creek and Mt Buffalo.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
