    Market vibes

One of the region's coolest and most popular outdoor attractions, the Emu Plains Market in Balnarring is a celebration of the Mornington Peninsula's unique culture, creative artisans and diverse producers.

Beneath the sun dappled stringybark canopy, local traders transform this bush setting into a snaking trail of colourful market stalls welcoming visitors to the spring carnival atmosphere which the market is renowned for.

With an eclectic array of over 200 stallholders, the Emu Plains Market features: handcrafted items from the Mornington Peninsula and beyond, vintage clothes and collectables, unique sustainably made pieces from local Peninsula designers, farm fresh local produce, delicious gourmet food, an amazing array of food carts with tastes from all over the globe, a bar stocked with Peninsula favourites, fun activities for the kids, craft workshops and amazing live music all day.

The Emu Plains Market is held at the picturesque Emu Plains Reserve in Balnarring - about 50 minutes from Melbourne's CBD, plus special twilight markets in January.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
