    Venue Overview

Melbourne's premier venue for live music and events.

Owned and operated by Marriner Group and situated in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD on Flinders Street, the list of musicians and bands having graced the stage over the last 25 years is both extensive and impressive. The venue is the backdrop for many of the city’s most significant live music shows and events and is iconic within the music industry with a loyal following of performers and patrons alike.

The iconic exterior is matched by its elaborate interior which underwent a significant refurbishment in 2017, returning some parts of its early 20th century magic. Renowned for its sky-blue ceiling, mesmerising proscenium, cabaret style booths and spacious stage, the venue is a versatile and state of the art space with a concert capacity of up to 2,000 standing and up to 800 for a seated event.

Upstairs provides another venue featuring 520 tiered seats, a small thrust stage and large cinema screen. The multiple foyer spaces provide options for VIP or pre-event entertaining for up to 200 guests.

One of Melbourne’s best venues for live music hands down. It’s always a good night at The Forum.

I’ve been lucky enough to see some of my favourite overseas acts at The Forum (Blind Guardian, Helloween and Avantasia just to name a couple) and the sound quality and atmosphere are amazing. Great venue for live metal ?????

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
