Melbourne Celtic Festival returns on St Patrick's Day 2026 — and it's taking over one of the city's most atmospheric venues for a full day and night of live music.
For one day only, the Mission to Seafarers transforms into a multi-stage festival playground, with four intimate indoor and outdoor stages — The Hall, The Chapel, The Dome and the Garden Stage. Expect short walks between sets, overlapping sessions, and the freedom to curate your own day as you move through the space.
The lineup blends contemporary Celtic, folk, indie and global influences, featuring artists from Australia, Ireland, Canada and the USA including Apolline, Austral, The Bushwackers, Claymore, Cora Browne Trio, Gráinne Hunt (IRE), Greenfieldz, Homebru, Inn Echo (CAN), Jules Stewart (USA), Kathryn Clements, Melbourne Céilí Band, Maggie Carty, Out Of Hand, Phil Lester, Sally's Ukulele, Sam O'Connell, Suzette Herft, Victorian Irish Dance Academy and Victoria Welsh Male Choir.
Between sets, settle into the beer garden, Spanish-style courtyard or bar, or grab food from The Wee Kitchen. Come for a single session or stay from midday through to late — the program is designed to let you dip in and out.
If you're looking for a St Patrick's Day that feels genuinely Melbourne.
