    Local Vibes

Mirboo North marks the halfway point on the magnificent Grand Ridge Road in Central Gippsland, on the lands of the Gunaikurnai People. Looking down from its high ridge, this traditional country town is surrounded by some of the most scenic views in the area.

    Trails and greens
Drive the 132-kilometre Grand Ridge Road that snakes its way through the Strzelecki Ranges and take in sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

Get the blood flowing on a ride along the Grand Ridge Rail Trail between Mirboo North and Boolarra, or slow things down on the greens of the Mirboo North Golf Club.

    Flora, flavours and history
Take a wander through the town centre and see native flora including the town’s emblem, the lily, and beautifully decorated street murals capturing the spirit of the town’s early days.

Book in for a cooking class or sumptuous weekend lunch at local food studio Jacican, or time your visit to celebrate all things Italian at the town’s vibrant festa in February.

The nearby Grand Ridge Brewery is the perfect spot to pat yourself on the back with a rewarding beer. Choose from a range of brews that has won more than 100 international awards.

    Angler’s dreams
Cast a fishing line in crystal clear streams filled with blackfish and trout. The Tarwin River East and West, Berry’s Creek and Turton’s Creek are all popular spots for fishing.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
