    Local Vibes

Discover the stunning Alpine landscapes, crisp mountain air and family friendly ski fields of Mt Baw Baw, located just two and a half hours from Melbourne.

    Toboggans, huskies and ski schools

Whether you're new to the white stuff or a regular snow bunny, there's something for everyone at Mt Baw Baw. Have the kids squealing with delight at one of the toboggan parks, get started with a wide range of skiing and snowboarding lessons, or join the huskies on a dog sled tour of the back country.

Need to slow it down? Take time out to explore the pristine Alpine wilderness on a snowshoe tour of the mountain.

    Tricks and trails

There's challenging downhill runs for the big kids, cross country trails to wander, and terrain parks to practise all those new kicks and flips. Intermediate to advanced skiers will love the Big Air Bag – a 9 x 15 metre cushion situated behind a two metre jump, ready to break your fall when you push that little bit harder on your grabs, airs and spins.

    Friendly faces

Settle into the relaxed village pace and soak up the winter holiday vibe. Mt Baw Baw offers a wide variety of accommodation too, from great budget options and family packages to luxury apartments, lodges and spa suites.

Modern facilities cater for day-trippers and long-term visitors alike. You'll find ski hire, food outlets, shops, medical and information centres all within an easy stroll of the car parks.

    After dark

The fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down on the mountain. Take in stunning views and enjoy the flavours of the region at The Village Restaurant. Get your dose of pub grub at The Alpine Bistro and then kick up your heels when the weekend DJs and bands light up the night. Looking for more time on the slopes? Strap on your skis for night skiing every Saturday night (weather permitting).

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
