    The event vibe

HARDLINE MEDIA proudly presents SOILENT GREEN for their first time down under.

SOILENT GREEN from New Orleans, USA, are well known as one of the world's premiere Grindcore/Sludge Metal bands. The band's 1990s and early-2000s albums are regarded as trendsetting for the Grindcore genre, with a Rolling Stone article listing Soilent Green as one of the "ten most important hard and heavy bands" of the late 1990s.

Soilent Green's musical style is characterised as a contradictory mixture of Grindcore with Sludge and Blues-heavy Southern Rock. Rock Hard magazine initially described the band as an intersection of Eyehategod, Crowbar and A*** **** with occasional borrowings from Death Metal. Their groundbreaking albums "Pussysoul", "Sewn Mouth Secrets" and "A Deleted Symphony for the Beaten Down" helped pave the way for this genre. On their following albums the group's sound focused on Grindcore, which the band combined with influences from Sludge and Technical Death Metal. The press coined the term "Sludgegrind" for Soilent Green's 2008 album "Inevitable Collapse in the Presence of Conviction" .

Don't miss these shows, there gunna be down, dirty and sludgy. For fans of all good things Southern - Down, Eyehategod, Crowbar, Acid Bath, get your Grind on and get your tickets, they wont last

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
