Yellow Cottage is situated in the small village of El Dorado, nestled in a picturesque valley downstream from Beechworth in North East Victoria. The brick cottage was built in 1870 and now has been renovated in a provincial style. Situated on a quarter-acre block in a large private garden, the cottage offers fully self-contained accommodation, including the comfort of an open fire in the winter as well as reverse-cycle air conditioning.
Close by is the town of Wangaratta host to the internationally recognised Wangaratta Jazz Festival, the start of the Rail Trail, and the Milawa Gourmet Region renowned for its food and wine. To the north is the acclaimed wineries of Rutherglen, and to the south is the all-seasons favourite Bright famous for its colourful autumn leaves and festival. You can also make the Yellow Cottage your base for trips to Mount Buffalo, Falls Creek and Mount Hotham during the snow season.
