Starting at Darby River car park, climb gently through windswept coastal vegetation before following the headland towards Tongue Point. Enjoy views of Darby Swamp, Vereker Range and Darby and Cotters beaches, with a side track down to the delightful and secluded Fairy Cove. Head back up the track to Darby Saddle for spectacular coastal and forest scenery, and take the side track to Sparkes Lookout for views of Rodondo Island and Shallow Inlet.

Grade: Level 3 – Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may have short steep sections, a rough surface and steps.

Getting there: Take South Gippsland Highway (A440) from Melbourne, turning south at Meeniyan and Fish Creek (C444). Follow the signs to the national park entrance and travel to the Darby River car park or Darby Saddle
