The Australian Eagles Show marks 50 years of Hotel California with a full concert celebrating one of rock music’s most enduring albums. The first half of the show sees the band perform Hotel California in its entirety, before a second set packed with Eagles favourites and selected solo hits from Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Glenn Frey.
Fronted by Michael Thompson and Shayne Browne and backed by a five-piece band, the production is built around the close harmonies and detailed musicianship that defined the Eagles’ sound. Audiences can expect classics including Desperado, New Kid in Town, Life in the Fast Lane and, of course, Hotel California itself. Rather than simply running through a greatest-hits set, the anniversary format gives the landmark 1976 album centre stage before opening out into a broader celebration of the band’s catalogue and legacy.
