    The event vibe

This is your only opportunity to see the Ocean Film Festival in Victoria this winter.

Dive into the ocean depths with a powerful and visually stunning line-up of films that celebrate the ocean from above the surface, and beneath the waves.

The Ocean Film Festival World Tour, now in its 13th year, returns with a powerful and visually stunning line-up of films that celebrate the ocean from every angle - above the surface, beneath the waves and deep into the stories that connect you all to the sea. This unforgettable night out for ocean lovers features three remarkable films from Australian filmmakers, alongside three equally inspiring international films. From high-stakes adventures and record-breaking journeys to intimate portraits of marine life and environmental restoration, the program is packed with breathtaking cinematography, inspiring characters, and a deep respect for the ocean and the communities that shape it.

The movies include The Raftsmen, The Kelp Collector, Stone Biter: Saving the Arctic Sea Forests, Antarctica: Domain One, A Dragon's Dance and Tainá.

We acknowledge the First Peoples throughout Victoria and their ongoing connection to the land and waters.

For over 60,000 years they have cared for Country and preserved our beautiful landscapes. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present.

We are grateful for their custodianship, their knowledge and their resilience.

We would also like to acknowledge our First Peoples as Australia’s original storytellers. Their rich storytelling inspires us to share how special Melbourne and Victoria is with the world.
